THE PUPPET SAINTAfter climbing the endlessly long spiral staircase of the Skypiercing Spire to escape Ngai Forest, Illusia and his friends find themselves in the cellar of the Church of the Holy God’s cathedral. There, inscribed in a revelation stone, is a message from a saint of the distant past: Saint Yornes. In it, she warns that one day in the far future, her visage and identity will be stolen by the Divine Voice, and she would become its puppet. And it seems like the future is now, because when a loud boom outside draws Illusia out to investigate, he finds the holy city of Lidom desolated and overrun by monstrous creatures…and floating above the carnage is a woman in black—Saint Yornes!
