Step behind the screen and into the world of Orïsha with this deluxe book, where the magic of Children of Blood and Bone is revealed in every set, costume, and frame. Following the journey from page to screen, Children of Blood and Bone: The Visual Companion to the Motion Picture explores how the original story, crafted by #1 New York Times bestselling author Tomi Adeyemi, was translated into the extraordinary film starring Thuso Mbedu, Tosin Cole, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris, Lashana Lynch, Idris Elba, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Cynthia Erivo, and Viola Davis. Children of Blood and Bone introduces a unique, visually-rich realm once defined by magic, and forever changed by its violent removal. Through a curated collection of behind-the-scenes imagery, production stills, and concept art, fans are given a detailed look inside the development of the film’s world, from early designs to final on-set execution. Alongside these materials, interviews with the cast and crew offer insight into the creative process, presenting a layered exploration of Children of Blood and Bone’s adaptation, and offering fans a deeper understanding of how the world of Orïsha was brought to life on screen.
